The consequences of police corruption are undeniable and unacceptable. When institutions tasked with protecting our rights and preventing corruption do not act with integrity, it is citizens that ultimately suffer. The following article explores how failure of the police to act in the public interest facilitates human rights abuses, opens the door to political repression and provides an environment in which organised crime can flourish.

We hope that this site will become a central resource for those interested in defence and security corruption issues. It is aimed at members of governments, the armed forces, civil society, defence companies, and academics, and we have sought to provide information on defence and security corruption and tools to address the corruption risks that arise in the defence and security sector.
